The 2026-27 Pay Award has been agreed between the National Employers and Trade Unions.
The headline figure is that staff will be seeing a 3.3% pay rise, including on applicable allowances. The new Salary Scales are now available on TED, showing pay depending upon your grade and SCP.
This is backdated to 1 April, and Payroll has confirmed this will be processed, including the back-pay, on the September 2026 pay day.
As a reminder, Tendring District Council is part of the national local government scheme (National Joint Council), and so negotiations on the Pay Award are carried out at a national level.
